Crusty Drunks (Crusty and the Drunks) was formed in mid 2012 and come from South Central Los Angeles. The original band consisted of Eloy and Zombie on guitars, Crusty on drums and Junior "Troops" Jimenez on vocals, later adding Juan on bass and Angel as an additional vocalist. All members have their own influences and preferential genres but share a common love for punk bands such as The Casualties, A Global Threat,Aus Rotten, etc. as well as local bands such as The Runts, The Pins, and LA's Moral Decay. They got their start in the backyard scene in South L.A./Compton/Watts and have been a mainstay for the last few years playing with passion everywhere they go whether it’s the Whisky A Go Go or a backyard with no lighting.
2015 saw the unfortunate passing of their frontman Troops. Troops was the force behind the band, it was his passion and love for punk which led them to carry on and continue what he started. Coming to a backyard near you… South Central Drunk Punks!
