Speedvomitt is a hc punk band from Marburg/Germany formed in the summer of 2018.With songs about wars,drug abuse, alcoholism and all the violence and hate that come along, it's safe to say this band is anti-P.C and non apologetic about it. Hail Speed Snort Satan!

Negativ band

 

 

NEGATIV is a new hardcore punk from Oslo. This band makes me feel that it will bring something exiting to the Oslo punk scene which is not just about Oslo punk scene but it is more involvements from punk scene in other countries. It’s maybe also by the vocalist Skunk’s own hard works for label and bookings, and NEGATIV is deeply involved in it as well. Thus this band makes me feel something will happen! . Once they started playing, the band immediately grabbed the entire atmosphere in the moldy underground space and delivered its manic primitive energy thoroughly. Their sound is based on 80s hardcore with weird mixture of Scandinavian hardcore punk, some Japanese flavor, light distorted guitar sound which sometimes sounded even rockin and the edge of thrash hardcore. Their groove is undulated with its manic groaning vocal but still has some sharp edge of thrash hardcore here and there. Their groove completely smashed the space and whole live space was undulated by the crowds and its sweaty moist heated air.

Ladrona band

LADRONA is hardcore punk/D-beat  band who integrate individualities with artistic concerns
subversive and transgressive. where their interests have been reflected in the contradictions of the system, its moral values, religious values, and private property in a representative Central American and authoritarian context, and the re-meaning and recovery of a life. the catharsis of our sadness, anguish, and the hatred of living in a capitalist system that runs through us the most close to our bodies, where youth have no more options than surviving their jobs, precarious employment, and an eternal uncertainty. the same marginalization in what they see ourselves sometime.

Skrammel records interview

 

1. Could you tell a bit more about skrammel record  label?

 

Skrammel records started out as the out of tune, distorted voice of Swedish punk and hardcore. We wanted it to make it easier for good bands to have their music put on wax, with as little obstructions as possible. No contracts or shady royalty reports. We print the records, the band get some to sell, we take some to sell. And we help each other in any possible way to make sure that the records doesn't end up in storage shelve somewhere. That means small printed volumes and an ever expanding network of distro's in the world that can help us.

2. When did you start with the skrammel  record label   and are the bands satisfied with your services?

 

We will celebrate 10 years next year. 2019 will see us release our 29th, 30th, 31st and perhaps even 32nd records since the start in 2010. Many of the bands are coming band to release new albums with us and we hope that is an indication of us doing a good job and being nice to deal with.

3. What bands can expect from you?

 

Honest support - we only release music we get emotionally attached to, which makes it so much easier for us to support every release with all the love it deserves. Our music is not for everyone and that is fine. It is for us and that is all we need. Also we try to compensate the bands with a number of copies from the printed stock for band to sell at shows. Money in the pocket for the musicians without any reductions by overhead costs. If the musicians need our support to sell their share of the copies we are happy to help them.

4. Could you give some advice to bands about the underground scene? 

 

Be original. Live shows is still great for getting your music out but internet rules. Release one killer track on Youtube, bandcamp or wherever rather than ten bland song on a CDR . Quality is everything. 

5. Could you say something at the end for the blog All for one and one for all?

Sevared Records interview

 

1. Could you tell a bit more about sevared  record  label?

 

BARRETT:  Sevared Records is a label devoted to Brutal Death Metal, Old School Death Metal, pretty much all styles of Death Metal.

 

2. When did you start with the sevared  record label   and are the bands satisfied with your services?  

 

BARRETT:  I started Sevared back in 1997 with a band called Disinterment from Richmond Virginia USA, and have been going strong every since.  This year I should be reaching my 400th release, so yeah I think for the most part the bands have been happy with my services over the years, you can't please everybody.

 

3. What bands can expect from you?  

 

 BARRETT:  I have a true passion for Death Metal, they can expect honest communication, a great product & great distribution through out the underground scene.

 

4. Could you give some advice to bands about the underground scene?  

 

BARRETT:  Just be true to your self and the scene, support your local bands go out to the shows, not just the huge band shows that come to town.  The more you support the local scene the bigger it will get and the more tours that will come through your area.  Don't think your going to be a rock star, this is Death Metal, do it because you love it, not to make a million dollars, because it most likely won't happen!!

Tape or Die record label interview

1. Could you tell a bit more about tape or die record label? 

Tape or Die record label said :

Sure! The history of Tape Or Die began way before the tape label itself. Some years before, I had a record label for vinyl and CDs. But the costs for vinyl seemed to explode so I had to decide if I want to release stuff which will sell definitely or just stopping the label. The first decision would have been a compromise, so I stopped it. After some time, I realized that I “have to do something”. It was already the comeback time of the tapes so I tried this – und succeeded. Tape Or Die is running since 2013 and has 60 releases already. Plus some 2nd and 3rd presses. The Idea is to keep it fun and simple – but with quality and heart. We mostly work with bands which are friends of ours or which had an impact on our life. An example for the second: I always loved the Broken Bottles from California. Sadly, their singer died on an overdose. But I met his brother who was also in BB when he was roadie for another band. We talked and some months later, we released the last album of the band on tape. I stamped the covers with a broken arm haha – but it was an honor and kind of a dream coming true. Same with Vodka Juniors: Julie, who is not only my better half but also the better half of Tape Or Die, knew them from a crowdfunding campaign. I liked their music, we wrote them, we made a tape, they came on tour and now they are a part of our family. That’s what I love about the label. Beside the music of course – it’s always about the people behind. For the music, it’s mostly Punkrock, some Hardcore and something in between. We even have a Hip Hop tape and some acoustic releases. When we like the music and we think, that it should be heard, we release it. Sometimes we add some extra stuff as well like a LEGO figure for one release, special stickers, pins, we had a chewing gum…if it fits with the band, we’re open for everything. Especially for our own stupid ideas. 

2. When did you start with the tape or die record label and are the bands satisfied with your services?

I already answered the first part. For the second: I hope so. But I think so. At least that’s what they tell us when they receive their copies haha. 

3. What bands can expect from you? 

Tape or Die record label said :

Let’s start with what they should not expect from us: They won’t get rich with a release on our label. We poorly can help them with gigs (well, sometimes it works in Berlin because we have a good connection to Cortina Bob. This is a club near our home and we always celebrate our annual party there.) We are no big promo agency. And we will never release a CD or vinyl – if we would do this, we would die as you can see in our name. What they can expect from us is total support. All of our releases are coming from our heart and the same goes with the promo we do. We help the bands with artwork, help them with contacts or some ideas. And we pay for the tapes of course. The bands gets 10% of the pressing for free and if they want more tapes, they pay the production costs. I think this is fair. We don’t make any money with Tape Or Die, we mostly pay for it. But it’s fun. But of course: I know that my daily job pays for this. It’s our hobby. Nothing more and nothing less. And still better than taking drugs haha. 

4. Could you give some advice to bands the underground scene?

Be nice! Most of the active people in the underground scene are doing this in their free time and without getting paid. You don’t have to act like an asshole. You will not earn anything from it but a bad reputation – and I don’t mean the cool Joan Jett-version of it. Same goes with clubs. I think to give bands bad food for example is disgusting. When our bands play in Berlin and we have something to do with the concert, we cook for them. Nothing special, but more than rice with sauce. It doesn’t cost so much more, but the band is happy. And a happy band is playing better. Back to bands: Play and record. If no one wants to release your stuff, do it on your own. Use bandcamp (I love bandcamp!). Try to get in touch with other bands. Invite them and visit them in return. 


5. Could you say something at the end for the blog “All for one and one for all”?

Thank you for the interest in Tape Or Die and for the questions. I have no idea about the scene in Bosnia Herzegovina but I guess it’s exciting because it’s relatively young. It’s great to see that young punks (like you) “make something”. Blogs, Fanzines, Bands, Labels – making is always more fun than consuming. (Which doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t buy our tapes.)
